What the others charge
Desktop export apps charge $30 to $50 before you see one page. Phone apps charge about $20 to unlock the PDF, and some charge again every year. Attorney software runs $600 to $1,800 a year. A forensic examiner runs $500 to $2,000 for one phone.
Here the export is free, the search is free, the preview is free, and the court-ready transcript is $9. If it is not what you needed, email us within 30 days and we refund it. No questions.
What's not in the price
No "starter" tier that rate-limits searches. No $20-an-export setup charge. No annual contract. No "per-thousand messages" surcharge. The corpus you upload can be 200 messages or 200,000, same $49. The Attorney Seat is per firm, not per user, and it is the only recurring charge we have.
We also don't charge for the LLM tokens. Query expansion and synthesis run on the report we ship to you, and the cost is built into the $49. If a report exceeds our normal envelope, that's our problem to solve, not a line item on your invoice.

Email us within 30 days of the purchase and we refund it in full. No questions asked. The same guarantee covers the Evidence Report.
How does the $9 Court-Ready Transcript work?
Sign up free, upload your message export (or paste a Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive link), and pick a date range or a single contact if you don't want the whole history. You see a live estimate of the page count, preview it free (on a long export, the opening pages and your newest messages, watermarked, with the middle locked), and pay $9 only to download the complete clean copy. It's ready in minutes, not days.
Do I have to subscribe?
No. Both deliverables are one-time charges and there is nothing to cancel: you pay when you download the file, and that is the whole relationship. The Attorney Seat is the one recurring option, it is built for a firm that runs matters every month, and it is optional.
What's included in the $49 report?
Everything: the full PDF, the CSV evidence index, every citation back to source messages, a source-provenance page, executive summary, and the supporting metadata (sender, timestamp, thread, message-level provenance). The public demo at /app shows the system working against a synthetic corpus so you can verify it does what you need before signing up.
How long can I search a matter?
About 30 days from upload. Your search index is deleted automatically after that, and the storage rule removes it at 37 days at the latest. Anything you bought is yours to keep: download the PDF and CSV when they are ready and store them wherever your case file lives. If the index is gone and you need to search again, upload the same export and process it again for free.
Are there volume or firm rates?
Yes. The Attorney Seat is $29 a month or $249 a year, and it covers every transcript and every report on your firm's matters with no per-deliverable charge. One seat per firm, cancel any time, and the files you already downloaded stay yours. If your firm needs something the seat does not cover, email evan@texttimeline.com.
Is there a free trial?
The full demo at /app runs against a fictitious corpus so you can exercise every search before signing up. After you sign up, uploading your own export and unlimited searching are free. The paid line is the deliverable PDF + CSV.
Do you accept law-firm trust accounts or LEDES billing?
Stripe handles checkout for now. If your firm requires a different billing flow (LEDES, ACH, invoiced), email evan@texttimeline.com and we'll work it out.
