How TextTimeline works

  1. 1. Export your messages

Use any export tool — iMazing, Decipher, AT&T/Verizon portals, OurFamilyWizard, TalkingParents, or your phone's own export. We accept XML, CSV, and PDF.

  2. 2. We index it

Every message is parsed, scored for tone and intent, embedded for semantic search, and indexed for keyword retrieval. Raw exports are deleted after processing.

  3. 3. Search like a litigator

Query in plain language ("threats about taking the kids," "hidden bank accounts," "messages after I asked them to stop"). Hybrid retrieval surfaces every match with surrounding context.

  4. 4. Export the report

Pick the findings that matter, generate a $99 PDF + CSV evidence report. Every claim cites back to specific messages with timestamps. Hand it to your attorney or file it yourself.

Frequently asked questions

Are text messages admissible in court?

Yes, in most U.S. jurisdictions text messages are admissible when properly authenticated. Authentication generally requires showing who sent the message, when, and that the content has not been altered. TextTimeline preserves original timestamps, senders, and source file lineage so every message can be traced back to its origin.

How is TextTimeline different from screenshots?

Screenshots are anecdotal. They show single moments, not patterns. TextTimeline indexes the entire export — thousands of messages — and lets you search across years of communication for the specific evidence your case turns on. Every output is cited back to source messages with timestamps.

How is TextTimeline different from Decipher or iMazing?

Tools like Decipher and iMazing are export utilities — they get the data off your phone. TextTimeline starts where they stop. We take that export and turn it into a searchable, court-ready evidence report with categorized findings, citations, and chronology.

How much does it cost?

TextTimeline is $99 for a full Evidence Report (PDF + CSV with all findings and citations). Optional matter storage is $9/month if you want to keep your index searchable through trial. There's no subscription required to use the product or generate a report.

What about privacy?

We're built for confidential legal evidence. Raw exports are processed in memory and deleted — we don't keep your text messages on our servers beyond what's needed to produce your report and search index. The index itself is encrypted and per-matter scoped. We never use your data to train models.

What text message export formats do you support?

TextTimeline accepts iPhone (XML/PDF/CSV), Android (XML/CSV), iMazing exports, Cellebrite reports, and OurFamilyWizard / TalkingParents exports. If you have an unusual format, contact us — most exports we've seen are supportable.

Ready to see it on real evidence?

The live demo runs against a sample export so you can see how search, findings, and reports work. Bring your own export when you're ready.
